Bone against stone

bone of my bone

and

flesh of my flesh

crushed

by the heel

set against stone

chiseled

by life

reaching

toward

the Sun

caressing blanket

of hope and wide

open spaces

centered on  torn veils

and ebbing corners

of indigo horizons

crying,

“Even the rocks!”

know

the weathered pain

that shapes

the world

into

You.

This post was written for Unwrapping Tuesdays at Chatting at the Sky. All photos shot at The DePauw Nature Park, where I was grateful to unwrap God a little bit more among the rocks and crags of creation last week.

  1. I just wanted to stop in and say that I am now following your blog again. I used to be, but due to some privacy issues, had to go incognito. I look forward to reading your post again, and hope you follow me back to my new site. Thanks!

  2. Wow – very powerful and love the interjection of photos to give us visual peeps a clearer picture. Thanks Amy
