Ground up but gifted: a photo poem

green

golden dreams

falling

through

smoke-singed air

burning leaves

turning leaves

crunching

drying

dissolving

into the arms of the earth

to separate and penetrate

ground up

but

gifted

to turn the world

green

again

“Each of you has received

a gift to use

to serve others.”

I Peter 4:10

  1. Love those photos, especially the one with the light streaking from behind that farm machinery. And what are those berries? I saw them at my parents’ house and my daughter photographed them. Are they a pretty weed?

    1. Thank you so much, Ann! I don’t know what those berries are–they were so pretty and just BURST out of the ground with their color. I gotta go research it. Or maybe I’ll call in to Dick Crum tomorrow, lol! 🙂
