He knows. Hope and encouragement for #csa #survivors.

For anyone who’s ever been told to hush, or that no one will believe you, or that your story is too dark to be told.

God knows your pain.

He sees your wounds–and every person who ever inflicted them.

He heals.

He restores.

And He will bring justice.

April is Sexual Assault and Abuse Awareness Month. For information and support for survivors, visit the National Sexual Violence Resource Center’s page for survivors here: https://www.nsvrc.org/survivors

And know you are not alone.

How Sweet the Sound is a fictional story set in contemporary Alabama, but it was inspired by the ancient story of Tamar in 2 Samuel, chapter 13 of the Bible, where Tamar is raped by her half brother. As a result, she is forced to live out the rest of her days in shame and solitude.

That’s not the way the Lord wants survivors to live, but sadly, too many of us do. In How Sweet the Sound, follow one family’s journey through the hard and healing of sexual assault and abuse.
